The second installment from Ernest was as good - better? than the first. As before Stevenson picks a fantastic location for his mystery - this time the Ghan train crossing Australia.
As before, Ernest breaks the 4th wall constantly, keeping the reader informed of the rules of golden age crime writing as he counts how many times a name has been said and percentages for how far through the story we are.
For any lover of Agatha Christie, this tongue-in-cheek modern locked room (train) mystery is a winner. Might buy myself the Christmas book 3 soon!
