January - theme: Finish an abandoned book
Divinity 36: Tinkered Starsong Book 1 by Gail Carriger
My Mum bought me this book a little while ago and I started it eagerly, I have no idea why I abandoned it because it was delightful. Sci-Fi setting with some dubious planet names - Attacon 7? Really you couldn’t come up with something more inventive?
I fell in love with Phex the god potential from the wheel with a harrowing childhood as a crud rat on the Wheel. The other members of his pantheon were fantastic and I loved the idea that great music could make fans rabid with rapture.
I’m looking forward to reading books 2 and 3 in the trilogy and finding out what’s next for Phex, his pantheon and Missit.
