Additional Review F - Why did they have to give it a NSFW cover?

Thank you Goodreads and St. Martin's Griffin for the ARC of My Best Friend's Honeymoon.
First things first. What is with the cover? This was warm, cozy book that made me smile but I had to read it at home like a hermit. I definitely couldn't take it with me to read while my daughter did her swimming or ballet class. Yes you are going to say some of the contents is definitely not PG-13, which is true but that's fine, awesome even (those sections were very hot). No five year old or even their eleven year old sibling is looking over my shoulder and checking what I am reading. Naked people in bright colours - yes the kids are going to notice that and comment.
That out of the way, I loved this book. Elsie and Ginny were independently likable and diverse. They had sizzling chemistry from the beginning without either of them knowing it and the sex scenes were hot.
The story arc was a tried and tested best friends to lovers with a the traditional 3rd act breakup. So nothing ground breaking except one character is non-binary (and I loved them), and it's really well written and concise.
